Only 12 days left......

.........to get lots done! What am I doing? I'm not working on my MANY Christmas projects like I'm supposed to be doing! I decided to finally take a few minutes to play around with the pictures from the wedding for our blog. I was going to do just a simple slid show but decided to do the cooler looking scrapbook instead. It was super simple to make but yet I had a hard time finding a template that worked. I also had a hard time not being able to choose exactly how the pages would look or which direction the pictures would go in. I'm so used to scrapbooking with paper. Oh well! It was fun anyway. Enjoy the little scrapbook over on the right side of the page. Now I'm off to go work on our Christmas cards right after I take a shower, put Carter down for a nap, clean up the kitchen, make Eli's bottles.................................I'm still hoping to get them out by the 23rd. Scott better keep his fingers crossed though! :-)

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat.....

Jacob's catching the blog bug. I have a feeling he'll be writing on here from time to time. I obviously didn't add "update blog" to my to do list yet! There are so many funny & crazy things that happen with the kids & animals that would make good blog material but since I don't take the time to write about the stuff when it happens, it doesn't make it on here.

I can't believe Christmas is 20 days away! So much to do & time is going so quickly. I'm hoping to work on our Christmas cards tonight. I usually mail them around Dec. 23rd but Scott has begged me to get them in the mail sooner this year. I hoping that will happen.

Sick!!!

I think I need to put "update blog" on my weekly to do list or I won't ever get to it. We've had a few crazy, busy weeks: tons of appointments, sleepovers, play dates, SU! events, errands, etc. Now we've got 2 weeks on the calendar with nothing planned. I wonder how long that will last! Time to really get thinking about Christmas & all of the prep work involved. Well, there goes the quiet 2 weeks.

I woke up this morning & had the stomach flu. The bad stuff lasted for about 8 hours. Right about the time I started feeling better, Morgan got sick. She's only thrown up once & after she took a shower, felt better. So far it's only the 2 of us but I'm guessing it's just a matter of time before the rest of the gang gets it. Eli seems to finally be feeling better from his nasty cold that started the day before Halloween. He's not 100% back to normal but slowly getting there.

Seriously?!?

I haven't posted an update in over a week. I'm not surprised. I have spent time on our blog, just not posting updates! I've had a lot of fun embellishing it! I'm surprised how easy it is to do this stuff. I thought it was going to be too technical. I still haven't taken the time to figure out photos but it can't be that difficult. I'll have to post wedding pictures soon & then I can finally share this with the world. Ok, not the whole world. Just our world of people.

2 Extra Kids

Just thought I'd write something for the 2nd day in a row. We'll see how many days I can do this in a row!!! I haven't even told anybody about our blog yet so no body's reading my hard work.

Yesterday I arranged an adoption of one of my parents' corvette kittens. Today when one of my day care families came to pick up their little guy, they also got to take home their new grey kitten. He's such a sweetheart! He was Wrigley's partner in crime when they lived in Grandpa's garage.

Jacob & Morgan are both having sleep overs tonight so there's extra noise around here. The boys are playing video games and the girls are giggling as they're "trying" to go to sleep. Carter's running around like a mad man between the 2 groups.

Eli is h-e-a-l-t-h-y! I can't say it or he'll wake up sick tomorrow. He was sick about 2 weeks before my sister's wedding & we were able to get him better a few days before. It's only a matter of time before the next cold hits so I'm enjoying this nice calm period.

I was playing around with my blog tonight. I made it prettier. This stuff isn't so hard. I don't know why I was so scared to get started. The next thing I'm going to figure out is how to add pictures. I saw were I need to do it but I've spent enough time screwing around on the computer tonight so that's a project for another day. Eli & I are off to scrapbook while the big monkeys are winding down for the night.

What am I doing?!?

What am I thinking? Do I really have time to blog in addition to everything else I do?!? I guess I'm not busy enough. With 4 kids, 5 cats, 2 dogs, 1 hubby that works crazy shift work, working full time from home taking care of extra kids, selling Stampin' Up! for fun, all of my household stuff & scrapbooking, do I really have time to do this? I guess we'll see. I hate it when people have blogs & don't update them often. I hope I'm not one of those people but I have a feeling I could be. My life's not interesting. It's just crazy. What am I going to write about? I've been thinking of blogging for awhile but was trying to decide if I wanted to do a medical type site for Eli or do this type of site for the whole family. After a chat with my sister today about blogs, I decided it wasn't that big of a decision! I'm going to be brave & give this a try.
